Fierce defender of the slow processors and introverts! INKHORN is my self imposed clever nickname. An Inkhorn by definition was a small portable bottle for holding ink. I chose Inkhorn because my last name is Blenkhorn, and I love to write. It is the most appropriate name I could muster. I love the Inkhorn Controversy, since I am a little controversial by nature myself.
I have a strong bend towards Judaism, i grew up baptist but got involved in a messianic Jewish community for many years, where i came to have a greater appreciation for the Jewish roots of scripture and the christian faith. I came to believe strongly that the mainstream church has misinterpreted some of the scriptures. I am a confessing Christ follower, but have studied the Judaism and the Hebraic perspective of the Holy Scriptures extensive for 20 years and it has influenced my belief system. I have strong opinions about theology and church history and Jewish history and the Bible which often comes out in what and how i write. I am inclined away from mainstream Christian thought and the prosperity gospel towards truth and Torah. You will find lots of spiritual content in my blog.
I have a degree in early childhood education. and I enjoy working with children, I teach art in my home after school.
I love to cook, I’m an artist, I actually like to clean my house. I have a wonderful supportive husband who does the dishes almost every night. I have two teenagers that like me occasionally. As i write this my 18 year old son, just yelled up that if i were a better parent i would tell my 14 year old daughter she cannot eat tuna in the kitchen.
a few years ago i began to draw prolifically on my own and have begun to incorporate my drawings into my writing which shares the theme of faith.
I’m actually over 40 now.
