When days drag long with lonely songs
My soul cries out
“Where art Thou?”
My spirit knows Thy place

When my hands bleed from fruitless deeds
My eyes sting from selfish tears
Falling hard in bitter grief
My mind pleads,
“Where ART THOU?”
My spirit knows Thy place

When my heart pounds within
My mortal chest
My thoughts are multiplied with unrest
My flesh demands “WHERE ART THOU”
My spirit knows Thy place

When I fall bewildered on my knees
bow my weary head in praise
Then shall I, in perfect peace
Enter in Thy blessed place.
